Gooney
Lodge is a rustic and spacious country lodge nestled against Buck
Mountain in the Shenandoah Valley. Rippling Gooney Creek is located
just 20 feet from the huge front porch. Gooney Lodge is just minutes
from the Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive (Front Royal Entrance).
Portions of Gooney Lodge were built in the 19th century, including
a beautiful stone wall providing the backdrop for an antique cooking
stove that compliments all of the modern day kitchen appliances
provided for guest use. Two indoor balconies overlook beautiful
knotty pine paneled vaulted living and dining rooms with a dual
fireplace centerpiece. The lodge is completely furnished with antique
beds, large dining room table, chairs, living room seating and comfortable
